Wee and C-dub recap a championship season and look forward to signing day.

Big Wee and C-Dub will be hosting and we want to hear all yalls take on this season, recruiting, your hopes for next season, and anything else you want to talk about.

Chances are slim that the Tigers will make the NCAA tourney this year, but you'll still have office pools and you'll still want to watch the games at work. CBS will again be streaming the early rounds for free online. Last year the service worked very well. Even when alot of people tuned to the same game, there was no noticeablenoticable slowdown. Sign-up started this morning and VIP signup is limited, so get registered now so you'll be ready in March.

I have to hand it to the LSU Board of Sup's. They know when it's the right time to sneak a ticket increase by. Listen up, TAF members.

* Tickets go up $5 to $50 for SEC/VT-type opponents and $45 for other games

*$2.50 of the $5 increase goes to the new band hall construction costs

*Speaking of the band, they will move to the north endzone next year, but will still be in the student section. Public seating in the north endzone will not be affected

* Tradition Fund required donation rates raise as follows:

Sideline seats between the 20's: up $150 each year to $950 in 2010
Sideline seats- endzone: $50 less than above
Bowl seats-endzones: up $35 a year to $210 in 2010
Tiger Terrace seats: up $150 a year to $950/$900 in 2010
Upper Deck chair backs: up $50 a year to $500/$400 in 2010
Upper Deck bench backs: up to $225 in 2010

All of these plans will be proposed and probably approved at the next Board of Sup's meeting on the 17th.

Despite our success this year, I don't think anyone is arguing that the BCS works. Even the much-anticipated "Plus-One" system would not have fixed this post season.

Rather than link you too another hair-brained playoff system someone put together on the back of a napkin while watching the GMAC bowl, I instead point to this article by the great Spencer Hall (of EDSBS.com fame) which point out why D-1A will not have a playoff system, at least until the contracts run out...

"All of the Southeastern Conference's television contracts -- with ESPN, ESPN2, Lincoln Financial Sports and the 12-year megadeal with CBS -- expire by spring 2009. This means a firefight over the rights to televise games in college football's most profitable conference.

The SEC also could launch its own television network in the next year or so.

If the "Speed Equals Cash" conference does launch its own TV channel, expect the Big Ten Network to be its model. SEC commissioner Mike Slive asserted earlier this year that his league would not abandon a primary network affiliation but instead would see how negotiations went and then proceed. This essentially is the Big Ten model: Big games go on ABC/ESPN with others broadcast exclusively on the conference channel."

*There will be a ceremony at Tiger Stadium on January 19th, presumably to raise a new championship flag and show off the other championship trophies the tigers have won this year. A time has not been set.

*In case you didn't record it, Fox 44 will re-air the BCS Champ game this Sunday at noon.
